Day 1, holidays

Left home relatively early for Queen's Beach, Sea Point. The tide was low and there weren't too many people. We sat and watched the children wading in the tidal pool, gathering stones and seaweed for sand castles. Pondered the advisability of adult onesies and high-waisted bikini bottoms. Went home via the ice-cream shop and had a swim before lunch.

Later, we made small pompoms out of wool (on forks) and started assembling a rather elaborate Xmas decoration, out of 20 folded paper circles. Then another swim and a TV movie based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld - Hogwatch. The character of Death had some great lines.

If the rest of the holidays can be similar, I will feel pretty satisfied (with slightly less tablet access in the middle)...
